The 1964 Plymouth Fury exemplified an effort to appeal to an audience that was increasingly enamored with power, flash, and American ingenuity. This two-door coupe is a fine example of this style of car. It simplified many of the lines from the 1962 redesign, while maintaining a certain charm in its more conventional cowl, round gauges, and slanted roof line. The slanted roof line was only available in the coupe, such as the one highlighted here.
This 1964 Fury is completely restored, inside and out. It has been painted a stylish Oxford White and maintains its original 383 cubic inch V-8 and 4 Speed Manual Transmission. This is a factory numbers matching car. This Fury is a testament to Plymouth’s race to compete in the growing muscle car market.
